HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 5 Proposing an amendment to                                              
the Constitution of the State of Alaska relating to initiative and                                  
referendum petitions, was read the second time.                                                     
                                                                                                    
Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                      
resolution be advanced to third reading and placed on final passage.                                
Senator Ellis objected.                                                                             
                                                                                                    
President Therriault stated HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 5 will                                       
be on the May 8 calendar.
